Christmas Throwdown (Benefit WOD) at CrossFit Synergistics

The Christmas Throwdown started with humble intentions, we wanted to bring the community together and have a killer competition to bring in the holidays. The first Christmas Throwdown was held in December 2011. The event was designed for all athletes including men and women RX and scaled divisions. Shortly after the event was announced the 1st Annual Christmas Throwdown was completely sold out! Everyone who participated in this event left the competition excited and in the holiday spirit ready for the announcement of our 2nd Annual Christmas Throwdown.

In our second year the Christmas Throwdown was an even bigger success! We had over 135+ athletes compete traveling from the surrounding states to be apart of this event. This year was extra special for us because portions of the proceeds were being donated to help buy toys for kids in need. North Haven CrossFit decided that the Toys for Tots foundation was a perfect foundation to promote because it was directly in line with the holiday spirit.

At the conclusion of the 2nd Annual Christmas Throwdown, email after email poured in talking about how well run the event was and how great it would be to spread this event to surrounding boxes. With the continuous positive feedback received we decided that we wanted to allow for other boxes to experience our Christmas Throwdown and help give back to the community.

This brings us to the creation of our national version of the Christmas Throwdown. CrossFitters across the country can now participate together in the Christmas Throwdown Series to see who is the fittest athlete. Not only will this be a killer competition with national results, this event will also bring smiles to countless children during the holidays when they receive a new toy on Christmas!

We feel with great success comes great responsibility. Please join us this year in and have your box participate in the 2014 Christmas Throwdown Series!

We are so proud to be a part of a nation united by fitness
